THE BOYS
Poured my heart and soul into this commission. 40x40cm, acrylic on canvas and framed in oak.
COLAC
Possibly the biggest project I’ve ever done was a commission for a large wall mural and two large abstracts to hang in Colac Pt Adelaide. see here
Below is a photo of me infront of the finished abstracts as they are hanging in the Belle’s Botanica breezy rooftop oasis a week before it opened in September, ‘25.
Below that is a gallery of images showing the large mural of Daisy in the Bootleg Social restaurant area downstairs, some of my studies leading up to the work and other photos for added context.
EXPRESSIVE PORTRAITS
I created an expressive portraits short course, which I ran at Splashout Studios 3 times during the year. Below is a couple of demos of Frida, which I painted during class to show the process. I thought it was interesting to see how different each painting is from the other, being that I used the same photo to paint from.
ST JOESPH
I was asked to make a logo for St Joseph church, Brighton’s 100th year anniversary. Below is my little painting on a re-purposed support, the logo I created and then with a filter on my painting, and a photo of me with Mum and Dad under the banner hanging on the church in Brighton. I’m not a digital artist but I kind of like how badly I cut the image out…very human of me
PARKLANDS PLEIN AIR
Did some Plein Air painting in the Adelaide Parklands for the Parklands art prize and my Park 20-Tree Climbers was selected as a finalist for the prestigious prize. For more on this see my blog about it here
SMALL PAINTINGS
A collection of small paintings of things. These paintings are around an A4 size, give or take a few inches, and most I’ve uploaded into my shop or the Bluethumb art site and they are either still there or have been sold.
Blue
my first commission for 2025
